Ohio State Highway Patrol will team up with local law enforcement this summer to crack down on speeders and drivers under the influence. Officials hope the program will reduce traffic-related fatalities. In Central Ohio the increased highway patrol will be concentrated on the Interstate-270 Outerbelt.
Fire officials continue investigating a fire that damaged a Jehovah Witness church on Columbus’ North-East side over the weekend. Investigators have ruled the fire arson, but are not commenting on possible motives or suspects.
The word “arcade” might conjure up images of a large, noisy room filled with omputer games located inside a mall. But a century ago, arcades were the centers of commerce in Ohio downtown areas. Few of these architectural arcades remain in the Buckeye State, and some of those face an unsure future.
