Hundreds of Somalis protested the recent takeover of their capital by Islamic militants. And Mogadishu’s largest clan has threatened a counter attack if the militants do not leave. Some Somalis who sought refuge to Columbus say their country needs law and peace.
Hearings began today in a bid by the Ohio Department of Agriculture to revoke all of the permits it granted to the Ohio Fresh Eggs company. The company operates laying, breeding and pullet facilities near Croton and other sites in Hardin and Wyandotte counties. According to an agriculture spokeswoman Ohio Fresh Eggs in its permit applications failed to disclose that a manager had a troubled environmental record.
