Election Monitor Assesses Effects of Early Voting
Voter Reghistration rolls in Ohio are fat…600-thousand more people are eligible to cast ballots on May 2nd than in the 2002 primary. And, voters don’t even have to show up at the polls since Ohio now allows early voting and absentee voting. Ohio State University law professor Ruth Colker keeps close watch on elections. Colker is a professor of constitutional law at Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University. Recently she says as the early voting movement takes hold in Ohio and other states, the future of accessible polls by the disabled grows unclear.
