President Bush visited Wendy’s International Headquarters in Dublin Wednesday to promote a plan he says will reduce the cost of health care for Americans. The president says creating tax breaks for health savings accounts will create competition among health care providers and reduce prices.
Former Ohio State men’s basketball coach Jim O’Brien won his lawsuit against the university. O’Brien sued OSU after he was fired in 2004. WOSU’s Sam Hendren reports.
The Ohio Court of Claims has ruled in favor of former Ohio State University’s men’s basketball coach Jim O’Brien. The court holds that OSU wrongfully fired O’Brien in June of 2004 after O’Brien loaned money to the family of a Yugoslavian basketball player.
In a tense state school board meeting yesterday members voted to eliminate language in the state’s science standards that critics say opens the door to teaching intelligent design.
