Bexley City Council will consider a discrimination ordinance that would include members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. The move follows a lesbian couple who spoke out about a local wedding photographer who declined their business due to their their sexual orientation.
Clarett Sought in Robbery
Columbus police say they’re still looking for former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett, who’s suspected of robbing a man and a woman early Sunday morning in an alley behind the Opium Lounge at 346 South High Street.
The man says he hopes it was just someone who looked like the 22-year-old former Buckeyes star.
Police have charged Clarett with two counts of aggravated robbery – a first degree felony. Columbus police say they’re hoping the former Ohio State running back will turn himself in. Sergeant Michael Woods says detectives have been following up tips on places where Clarett might be found, but none of those has panned out. A cell phone was the only thing taken from the victims, who were not hurt. Police say Clarett fled with two men in a sport utility vehicle.
