Indiana-based artist Tasha Lewis transforms the Conservatory’s gallery with thousands of magnetic cyanotype butterflies printed on cotton fabric. Her blue butterflies hover in mid-air and seem to swarm the space, blurring the connection between the natural and artificial worlds.

Some law schools around the country have banned military recruiters from their campuses because of the Pentagon’s don’t ask, don’t tell policy regarding gays. The federal government threatened to cut all federal funding for colleges and universities which refused recruiters. Three dozen law schools have sued the Defense Department for violating their right to free speech. The Supreme Court heard opening arguments Tuesday.
