The City of Columbus has donated eleven houses to the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. The homes lie in the way of a road widening project and will be demolished after the local Habitat chapter salvages useable items from the structures.
A group called the Campaign for America’s Future this week unveiled a new round of ads critical of Ohio Congressman Bob Ney. Ney has been subpoenaed in an investigation of Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Ads are appearing in the local newspaper serving St. Clairsville, where Congressman Ney has an office. But will an ethics scandal affect Ney’s chances for reelection?
