Marine battalion arrives home to cheers

Columbus is welcoming home Lima company Marine reserves today.

Well-wishers encouraged to line Hamilton road from port Columbus to Rickenbacker at mid-morning.

At Rickenbacker, family and friends greeted the returning reservists with smiles, hugs and tears.

Lima Company flew to Columbus from camp LeJeune, North Carolina.

After the events at Rickenbacker; Westerville plans a mid-day parade through its uptown to honor three local members of Lima Company.

The company fought for seven months in Iraq. 16 central Ohio marines were killed in action.
