Franklin County Government Wants Money Saving Ideas
Franklin County residents begin paying an additional county sales tax on October First. The county will collect half-a-penny more on purchases. While the sales tax will help generate more revenue for the county, the head of the Franklin County Commission recently asked county workers for budget help.
President Mary Jo Kilroy says she especially wants to hear money saving ideas from the “scrooges, inventors, and entrepreneurs” among the county workforce. In an interview with W-O-S-U News, Kilroy says budget woes prompted her request.
