Highway Shooter’s Mother Tells How She found Several Guns

The parents of suspected highway sniper Charles McCoy took the witness stand Monday afternoon.

Ardith McCoy took the stand first and told the jury that she found a handgun in the garage and found two shot guns in the house in her son’s room.

Charles McCoy testified regarding guns found by his ex-wife and given to him. Prosecutors expect tomorrow to finish presenting their case against the 29-year-old Columbus resident. McCoy has pleaded innocent by reason of insanity.
