Indiana-based artist Tasha Lewis transforms the Conservatory’s gallery with thousands of magnetic cyanotype butterflies printed on cotton fabric. Her blue butterflies hover in mid-air and seem to swarm the space, blurring the connection between the natural and artificial worlds.
Contract dispute at County Agency goes to fact-finder
A fact-finder has been called in to help settle a labor dispute between Franklin County Children’s Services and the Professionals Guild of Ohio. Union members staged an informational picket on Thursday at the agency’s headquarters on West Mound Street. Union President Beth Earl was among the picketers. She says union members took the time to fight for their own families. Children’s Services executive Director John Saros says he thinks the two sides are “fairly close” to an agreement but they’ve gotten down to some really “hard differences” of opinion. A contract extension runs until April 1st.
