Columbus City Council to put smoking ban to a vote
Columbus City Council has called a special session for Wednesday afternoon to vote on sending its recently- enacted smoking ban to Columbus voters for a citywide vote. Supporters say the law seeks to protect citizens from possible health risks of second-hand smoking by banning smoking in public places and places of employment.
Opponents, who have collected thousands of signatures, say the ban will hurt bar and restaurant owners.
