Indiana-based artist Tasha Lewis transforms the Conservatory’s gallery with thousands of magnetic cyanotype butterflies printed on cotton fabric. Her blue butterflies hover in mid-air and seem to swarm the space, blurring the connection between the natural and artificial worlds.
Mayors outline urban agenda on bus tour
A group of Ohio mayors is traveling the state, calling on the presidential candidates to pay attention to urban issues. The mayors, all democrats, are also highlighting a new report that shows Ohio has lost nearly $14-billion in wages because of job losses over the last 4 years.
Calling themselves the “Battleground Mayors Fighting for Jobs,” 4 Ohio big-city mayors pulled into Columbus on a bus wrapped in red white and blue. The statewide bus-tour is funded by the US Conference of Mayors and aims to highlight the group’s agenda, including the need for job growth.
