School bus shootings linked to others near I-270
Investigators looking for whoever is firing at houses and cars south of Columbus have linked the shootings of two school busses to the string of shootings along I-270.
Chief Deputy Steve Martin says there is no ballistic evidence linking the school bus shootings to the others, but because they occured in the same geographic area as the highway shootings, investigators are including them. The total number of shootings has reached 18.
Martin also disclosed that deputies have responded to 149 reports of shots fired since the investigation began 18 days ago. Officials also announced the reward for information has increased to $40,000.
