Senate Budget Plan Restricts Abortion

The Ohio Senate is putting its marks on the state budget. Among the proposed changes:

  • Governor Kasich can’t sit on the JobsOhio board
  • Lawmakers’ pay cut 5%
  • Abortion prohibited in hospitals that receive public funding (but there are exceptions)

Toledo Casino Takes Shape

As Columbus settles its annexation controversy and construction remains halted on the Cleveland and Cincinnati casinos, construction on the  Toledo casino is half done. Penn National expects to start hiring soon. The (Toledo) Blade reports the Hollywood Casino in Northwest Ohio likely will be the first to open.
