Vote for Gramophone’s 2011 Artist of the Year
It’s that time of year again. In the thick of summer heat waves and vacation season, Gramophone magazine is once again making its lists of the past year’s classical music recording successes and checking it twice for nominees of its various accolades.
Arguably the most coveted of those accolades is Gramophone‘s Artist of the Year title. Yet unlike the magazine’s other awards, whose winners are determined by Gramophone‘s reviewers, the prestigious Artist of the Year laurels are bestowed by – YOU!
This year’s Artist of the Year nominees include conductors Andris Nelsons, Gustavo Dudamel, and Ivan Fischer; viol player/conductor Jordi Savall, pianists Mitsuko Uchida and Lang Lang and tenor Jonas Kaufmann.
