Violinist Vadim Gluzman, who has captured the ears and imaginations of Columbus music lovers in recent years, returns for a pair of concerts with ProMusica Chamber Orchestra this weekend.

In his first performance since being named Creative Partner and Principal Guest Artist by ProMusica, Gluzman solos in Mozart’s Violin Concerto #3.  He then directs from the Concertmaster’s chair in Mozart’s Piano Concerto 24, which features pianist Alessio Bax. Also on the program, two dance suites: Bela Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances, one his most famous works, and Bohuslav Martinu’s Suite from the jazz ballet La Revue de Cuisine, which reflects 1930′s Paris.

Both of ProMusica’s guests will be in the Classical 101 studios live at 9am to speak with Boyce Lancaster.

Concerts are Saturday at 5:30 pm and Sunday at 7 pm at the Southern Theatre.  Details at promusicacolumbus.org.
