Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival
If you are a dancer, dance aficionado, or even just a casual dance fan, you may well already know of a place called Jacob’s Pillow.Â For me, Jacob’s Pillow is a new discovery which requires further exploration.
It is nestled in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts on a 163 acre National Historic Landmark.Â While that designation usually brings to mind museums, preserves and restoredÂ buildings, Jacob’s Pillow is a vibrant, active, high-voltage festival grounds that, last year, welcomed 53 dance companies and more than 400 international artists to it’s three stages.
