Long-Lost Opera Discovered off the Coast of SicilyThis Weekend ProMusica Chamber Orchestra Will “Think Denk”
Listen to the Story

This weekend, I want you to Think Denk. What? Pianist Jeremey Denk!
First of all, anyone whose blog is subtitled “the glamorous life and thoughts of a concert pianist” tells me his tongue is planted firmly in cheek. (That, and a blog post entitled “Joshua Bell Tour Trauma: Meatball Edition”).
Denk recently subbed for an ailing Maurizio Pollini at Carnegie Hall (his debut in that venue) just a couple of weeks after filling in for an ailing Martha Argerich with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1.
He will reprise his performance of Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto this weekend at the Southern Theatre with ProMusica Chamber Orchestra.
Listen: ProMusica Music Director Timothy Russell gives an overview of this weekend’s performances.
