ProMusica Summer Music Series at Franklin Park Conservatory
The ProMusica Summer Music Series returns to theÂ Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens thisÂ Wednesday, July 31, at 8:00 pm. Â This week, incoming ProMusica Artistic Director David Danzmayr will conduct the Scherzo from A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Felix Mendelssohn, Lâ€™ArlÃ©sienne Suites No. 1 & No. 2 by Georges Bizet, and The Four Seasons of Buenos AiresÂ by Astor Piazzolla, which features ProMusica Concertmaster Katie McLin as soloist.
The free concert takes place in the Conservatoryâ€™s Grand Mallway gardens. All ages are welcome. Â There are many ways to enjoy the performance. Â You can bring a blanket or lawn chairs and a picnic meal, or contact ProMusica about a catered picnic.
Bring the kids one hour prior to the concert and join ProMusica on the West Terrace for music and garden inspired children’s activities. Â There is a charge if you wish to tour the conservatory. Â You can find further information here, or at the conservatory website.
