The ProMusica Summer Music Series returns to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens this Wednesday, July 31, at 8:00 pm.  This week, incoming ProMusica Artistic Director David Danzmayr will conduct the Scherzo from A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Felix Mendelssohn, L’Arlésienne Suites No. 1 & No. 2 by Georges Bizet, and The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla, which features ProMusica Concertmaster Katie McLin as soloist.

The free concert takes place in the Conservatory’s Grand Mallway gardens. All ages are welcome.  There are many ways to enjoy the performance.  You can bring a blanket or lawn chairs and a picnic meal, or contact ProMusica about a catered picnic.

Bring the kids one hour prior to the concert and join ProMusica on the West Terrace for music and garden inspired children’s activities.  There is a charge if you wish to tour the conservatory.  You can find further information here, or at the conservatory website.

What better way is there to spend a Summer evening than listening to beautiful music in a beautiful setting?  I hope to see you there!
