If you were in high school in the late 60s and early 70s, you are most likely familiar with Jon Lord. Â Actually, you may not recognize that name, but DO recognize the group he co-founded…Deep Purple. Â One online entry says “Jon Lord was an English composer, pianist, and Hammond organ player known for his pioneering work in fusing rock with classical or baroque forms, especially with Deep Purple.”
