Concert pianist Cyprien Katsaris is recovering in a hospital in Berlin after suffering an unspecified attack while performing a concert Tuesday evening in the German capital, according to Norman Lebrecht’s blog, Slipped Disc.
The French-Cypriot Katsaris was playing his own arrangement of a Liszt Piano Concerto when he stopped playing, said he had lost sensation in his left arm, and asked if a doctor were present.
In an update on Katsaris’ condition, Lebrecht wrote, “Fears that he suffered a stroke or heart attack may be exaggerated.”
