Lang Lang – Chopin do Dubstep with dancer Marquese “Nonstop” Scott
Dancing competitions on television are quite popular right now. Â One of my guilty pleasures is So You Think You Can Dance, which has introduced me to styles I have never seen, danced by people I would never believe could dance them, and movements I never thought possible by a human being.
Locking, Popping, Bboy, Dubstep…are terms not usually associated with Frédéric Chopin.  However, pianist Lang Lang and Dubstep dancer Marquese “Nonstop” Scott blended them beautifully in a promotional video for Lang Lang’s newest recording, The Chopin Album.
One can only hope that Scott tours with Lang Lang and that the two will decide to create a full-length video to explore the choreographic possibilities.
