Rarely does a conversation about music with David Danzmayr not turn to Mozart.  Being from Austria, that certainly isn’t surprising.  If you grow up in Norway, you will certainly learn about Edvard Grieg.  Poland?  Chopin.  Russia?  Tchaikovsky.  Germany?  Bach.

However, there is something about Mozart which seems to cross the boundaries of country, age, and era.

When my daughter was growing up, she liked to sit at the piano and try to work through songs.  The Temptations were always a favorite, along with…Mozart.  Motown and Mozart – has a ring to it, no?

David Danzmayr opens this conversation with Bach, then comes back around to you-know-who.
