Many conductors feel that Franz Schubert’s symphonies need help – major editing.  Some sat they’re too thick, simply too many instruments.  It is an oft-repeated opinion that ProMusica Chamber Orchestra Music Director David Danzmayr thinks is inaccurate, calling Schubert the quintessential Austrian composer.
