If You Listen You Will Hear Us
Norman Lebrecht has shared this beautiful video which I am pleased to offer above.
‘If You Listen, You Will Hear Us’ short film showcases the role music plays in helping profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) interact with their care givers.
People with PMLD have severely limited understanding and often have more than one disability, such as problems with seeing, hearing and movement. They may also have other conditions such as epilepsy or autism.
Norman is a British based musical polemicist, author, broadcaster, rabble rouser and mensch. A man after my own heart.
Music has so many uses. Music gives pleasure, music inspires and music heals. Imagine the moment where a person with limited communication brightens and responds to music you may be playing. Thank you, Norman.
