Two Harlem schools were recently given dozens of violins, according to Strings magazine.

The international violin trade show Mondomusica New York gave a total of 70 violins to Harlem’s Mt. Carmel-Holy Rosary School and Opus118 Harlem School of Music.

Mt. Carmel-Holy Rosary School has a program that offers students who wish to pursue violin studies beyond fifth grade to participate in performances alongside professional musician-mentors.

Opus118 Harlem School of Music offers group and individual music instruction for children of all ages in a variety of in-school, after-school and community programs.
