Escher String Quartet Live on Classical 101, Friday at 11:30

Above: The Escher String Quartet performs the first movement of Beethoven’s String Quartet in a, Op. 132 in the Daniel and Joanna S. Rose Studio, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

Acclaimed by critics and international concert artists alike and the recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, the Escher String Quartet is one of today’s most dynamic quartets.

Tune in this Friday at 11:30 am, when the Escher Quartet joins me for a live performance and interview on Classical 101. The New York-based ensemble will play music of Mozart and Ravel; they’ll chat with me about their BBC New Generation Artists recording project, which just wrapped up in London and they’ll tell us what we can expect to hear at their concert this Saturday at Columbus’ Southern Theatre.

And Saturday at 7 pm, join me at the Southern Theatre for a conversation with the musicians about their work as one of the world’s foremost string quartets.

Don’t miss the Escher String Quartet, Friday at 11:30 am live on Classical 101.
