Celestial harmony, music of the spheres …

Tune in for a heavenly musical treat Thursday at 1 p.m. when early music ensemble Armonia Celeste – “Celestial Harmony” – joins me for a performance and interview live on Classical 101.

In the four short years since its formation in 2008, the Texas-based ensemble has skyrocketed to prominence on the early music scene, garnering spectacular reviews for its performances around the U.S.

Tune in Thursday at 1 p.m. to experience the angelic voices of Armonia Celeste and otherworldly tones of the ensemble’s rare Baroque triple harp. You’ll also get a preview of Armonia Celeste’s debut CD of Renaissance and early Baroque love songs and hear about life in the opulent seventeenth-century Barberini courts.
