Atlanta Symphony’s Robert Spano gets Aspen Music Festival back on track

Though not officially to begin until 2012, Oberlin Conservatory professor and Atlanta Symphony Music Director Robert Spano has taken the reins of the Aspen Music Festival a year early.

Veda Kaplinsky, who is back for her eighth year teaching piano, summed it up this way. “Last year was a nightmare, and this year has been bliss.”
