A New Year’s Wish for You on The American Sound, 6pm Saturday
It’s always a bittersweet time. The end of a year means looking back, celebrating joys and triumphs and mulling over regrets of things left undone.
But the end of one year also means the beginning of another. In that spirit, Saturday evening The American Sound looks ahead to 2014 with music befitting a nation known for embracing the future with optimism, determination and hope.
Join me Saturday at 6pm for Franz Waxman’s Auld Lang Syne Variations, New Year’s music from early America and a symphony by Mark O’Connor that shows us what it means to have hope – American style. Also, hear my musical New Year’s wish for you.
Tune in for New World, New Year on The American Sound, Saturday at 6pm on Classical 101.
