Chefs in the City Television Show
Chefs in the City is a unique live event and television program presented by WOSU Public Media. The program brings together local and national celebrity chefs for a culinary experience that celebrates local and innovative cuisine.
Proceeds for the shows supported childrenâ€™s educational programming on WOSU TV.
One of America’s most talented chefs Hubert Keller captivated the crowd during his stay in Columbus. Keller, who hosts his own PBS show and has appeared on a variety of other cooking shows, presented mouth-watering dishes including an All-Ohio Signature Short-Rib Burger and White Gazpacho flavored with almonds, green grapes and vanilla oil. With Master Chef Rick Bayless and local chefs in the kitchen, the 2010 version of Chefs in the City focused on local foods and organic ingredients. In its third year, Chefs in the City made the move to the Battelle Studio at WOSU@COSI. Emmy-Award winning chef Ming Tsai and local chefs entertained the crowd. Ming presented Sake-Miso Marinated Alaskan Butterfish and Sesame Tofu Ceaser Salad. Download recipes and view photos from the event.
The 2008 edition of the show nationally-known chef Joanne Weir focused on food appreciation, fine dining, and insider cooking tips and tricks. During the show, Weir presented Gnocchi with Roquefort Cream, Penne with Tomatoes, Spicy Fennel Sausage and Cream, and Toasted Goat Cheese Salad with Smoked Bacon.
