Rishi Sushi is one of Columbus’s newest additions to downtown. Located at 114 N. 3rd St, the restaurant is the child of Moshi Sushi, a popular fusion spot in Bexley.
It resides in a beautifully designed spot; it emanates good vibes and a modern Japanese style. As you enter, you are greeted by a sushi bar, and there is lots of sidewalk space just in time for spring dining, as well as seating available in an posh upstairs loft.
The menu is large with many selections beyond sushi. They pride themselves on their noodle dishes with authentic locally sourced ramen, not the $5 for a dollar kind, with rice noodles and gluten free broth available upon request.
If you prefer something more familiar, the grilled chicken salad with English cucumbers, avocado, carrots, olives and Roma tomatoes and mozzarella with a delicate soy-based dressing is delightful and large.
The Bibimbop Burger is terrific with a 7 ounce, 21 day aged marinade beef patty. It is served with spinach, bean sprouts, pickled daikon topped with a sunny side up egg on a brioche bun. The buns are supplied by the local Angry Baker with a barbeque-like special sauce and served with the best truffle French fries I have ever had.
And of course there is sushi. Try the maki combo where you get to select two, normally at $6.50 each, for a $9.95 lunch combo. Then there is the nine piece chef selection sashimi for $13.95. I can truly say I have enjoyed everything I have tried at Rishi Sushi
