The Columbus Park of Roses

| May 28, 2014 | 0 Comments

With more than 12,000 roses spanning over 400 varieties, the Park of Roses in Clintonville is considered one of the premier municipal rose gardens in the United States and a local treasure. Longtime volunteer Paul Gibson tells us about the history and appeal of the 13-acre park.  And then listen in on rose expert Peter Schneider who judged last year’s Rose Show.  Each June, amateur rose growers throughout Ohio bring their flowers in peak bloom to be judged and inspected for signs of excellence. This year’s event, “Stop and Smell the Roses,” takes place on June 7, 2014.
