Local Theater Group Explores The Exquisite Art of Aging

| June 3, 2008 | 0 Comments

While women in their twenties and thirties flock to movie theaters to see the film version of “Sex in the City” older women may prefer something more substantial.

The performance group “Howling at the Moon” features Central Ohio women sixty and older and their discoveries about aging. The women reflect, rue and often laugh as they examine the results of time’s effect on their bodies, their minds and their relationships.

An outgrowth of “Grandparents’ Living Theater,” “Howling at the Moon” is the creation of WOSU Theater Critic Joy Reilly, who describes its genesis and its evolution in her own words.

“Howling at the Moon” performs “The Exquisite Art of Aging” Wednesday night (June 4th) at the Hyatt Regency. The performance is part of the Fourth Annual Eden Alternative International Conference.
