Gay In America, the first-ever photographic survey of gay men in America contains intimate portraits and stories that can touch us all. We were recently informed by the author that “Gay In America” was nominated in a host of awards and categories.
Gay in America was nominated for the Lamda Literary Award through the Lamda Literary Foundation which “nurtures, celebrates, and preserves LGBT literature through programs that honor excellence, promote visibility and encourage development of emerging writers.” Also nominated for Book of the Year in Photography in the ForeWard Review, which is ”designed for booksellers and librarians to share in the process of discovering distinctive books across a number of genres with judgments based on their own authority and on patron interests.” Lastly, Gay in America tied for first place in Gay/Lesbian Non-Fiction in the Independent Publisher Awards which “recognizes excellence in independent publishing.”
