The Great Flood of 1913 has eerie parallels to more recent natural disasters.



One hundred years ago, the nation suffered its most widespread flood ever–1000 people were killed, and hundreds of thousands of homes were destroyed throughout fourteen states. In this hour,  All Sides will take a close look at the aftermath of the 1913 disaster, the origins of our modern flood-control systems, and in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, explore what’s changed, and what hasn’t.
