Trading Places: Tax Inversion and Corporate Reform

Last month Burger King announced it will buy Canadian chain Tim Hortons, and base themselves in Canada. Scores of American companies move overseas each year to avoid paying U.S. taxes. Some business leaders insist it’s for growth, not money, but it raises questions about tax equity and corporate patriotism. We’ll discuss the issue this hour.

Governor Kasich has proposed a number of tax-related measures including a state income tax cut to get the top rate below 5%, and an increase in the business tax.
