America may be growing in diversity, but the mainstream media, including public broadcasting, face challenges in presenting a broader view and perspective on society and the world around us.
Fox Networks Group on Monday announced the creation of Fox Hispanic Media to reach the fast-growing Latino public in the United States. The creation of separate news and entertainment divisions reflects the profits to be made by reaching Spanish-language consumers, though it doesn’t necessarily bring greater awareness of cultures for one another.
