Easing Barriers to Work and Education for Ex-Offenders
Legislation is scheduled to pass in Ohio today that will help ex-offenders to find work or get access to education during the period when they leave prison and re-enter the community. On this hour of “All Sides,” we’ll talk about this legislation and other re-entry programs across the country.
- Marc Mauer (Executive Director, The Sentencing Project)
- Gary C. Mohr (Director, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction)

The “Set Free Stay Free” Re-Entry Community Event sponsored by New Beginning Transitional Housing for Women will take place June 16, 2012 from 12 – 5 p.m. at The English Park/Kawanza Playground at Bryden Road and Linwood in Columbus. The event will focus on several re-entry programs with various 501-C3s to explain how they will utilize their time and effort for those who are re-entering back to the community.
