Charles Darwin’s Children



Darwin spent time studying the animals of the Galapagos Islands, like this giant Galapagos tortoise. The Island of Santa Cruz is home to the Charles Darwin Research Station.


Charles Darwin, father of evolution, did his part to ensure the survival of the species by having ten children. Most of their accomplishments have been out-shined by the senior Darwin, but this hour we’ll examine the soldiers, scientists, authors and knights who called Charles “dad.” We’ll also get a look at Darwin’s complicated marriage to Emma, his first cousin.
