As a young girl, Alexis Wilson was abandoned by her mother, and raised by her father and his same-sex partner. In her memoir, the celebrated dancer shares her story of a “show-biz” upbringing, and her non-traditional family, in the hope that it helps readers embrace differences and inspire love.
