Summer Reading = sitting on my deck with a good book and my iced tea, with chirping of birds and fragrance of flowers in the opposed to “Winter Reading”…sitting in my easy chair wrapped in blankets and sipping hot chocolate.
I recommend Remarkable Creature by Tracy Chevalier..fiction based on the life of Mary Anning, a woman who had a talent for finding fossils and is actually credited with some 19th century amazing finds.
And I’ve never read a Louise Erdrich book I haven’t liked… Currently I’m reading The Master Butchers Singing Club, the story of a butcher and his family living in a quiet German village in North Dakota. I can’t put it characters..Erdrich is a master storyteller.
