After The Score takes an in-depth look at the sports landscape in Columbus and throughout Ohio. The show airs at 6:30pm Fridays and 6am Saturdays on 89.7 NPR News. It is also published each week in podcast format.
Steve Brown - (@radio_reporter)
Steve Brown grew up in nearby Richwood, Ohio. He started his journalism career as a weekend board operator at WOSU while majoring in journalism at Ohio State, where he also wrote for student newspaper The Lantern and co-founded the organization Students for Public Broadcasting.
He left Ohio in 2007 to become the morning anchor at KSTK in Wrangell, Alaska while also serving as a regional correspondent for the Alaska Public Radio Network. Steve has also anchored and reported for public radio stations in Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida. His award-winning features have been featured on several NPR programs, including Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
When heâ’s not working, Steve is likely listening to public radio, playing guitar or watching his beloved Buckeyes.
Thomas Bradley - (@TomBradleyOSU)
Thomas Bradley has lived all over the country, but has always maintained his Ohio roots. Thomas began his passion for sports and journalism while attending Ohio State and he has covered Ohio State football for the past three seasons.
As a key part to the ever-expanding Digital Media department at WOSU, Thomas can be found daily on social media, growing the online presence of WOSU Public Media. Thomas spent a year as an editor of the university newspaper, The Lantern, and a year as a the sports editor of the Wapakoneta Daily News. Thomas interned in the Digital Media department of WOSU while attending Ohio State, and is now on staff full time for WOSU Public Media.
When he’s not at his desk, you can usually find Thomas running the streets of Columbus, training for a marathon. In addition to running, Thomas is constantly reliving the glory days, playing ice hockey, baseball and basketball.
